The following applicants are eligible:
a) Holders of a bachelor's degree, or legal equivalent, in the following areas:
MSc in Applied Microbiology – Biological Sciences
MSc in Biomedical Engineering – Engineering or Life Sciences
MSc in Food Engineering – Food Engineering
MSc in Biotechnology for the Bioeconomy – Biological Sciences
b) Holders of a bachelor's degree, or legal equivalent, in related areas. Other profiles may be admitted based on the assessment of their academic, scientific or professional background, provided a favorable opinion is issued by the Coordination Committee.
c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, in the areas referred to above, obtained after a 1st Cycle of Studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process in a country that adheres to it;
d) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in the areas listed in point a), recognized by the Scientific Council of ESB-UCP as meeting the objectives of a bachelor's degree;
e) Applicants with an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific Council of ESB-UCP as demonstrating the ability to undertake this cycle of studies.

The opening of the 2nd and 3rd phases depends on the number of vacancies remaining from the previous phase.

Bachelor's Degree Certificate* (with detailed information including completed curricular units, obtained grades, ECTS credits, and final average) – mandatory only for students who graduated outside UCP - Porto.

Form for Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) – if applicable
If you have not yet completed your undergraduate degree or have completed it but do not yet have the final certificate, you must provide a list of completed curricular units (if no official document is available, you may submit a printout from your student portal) as well as fill in one of the following declarations:
Declaration of Honour – applicants without completed undergraduate degree
Declaration of Honour – applicants with completed degree but without the certificate
Documents issued in other countries must be legalized by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority in the issuing country, or contain the Hague Apostille, except for United Kingdom, and countries from EU, European Economic Area, or European Free Trade Association.
Any certificate or transcript not issued in English, French, or Spanish, must be accompanied by a certified translation.

Your application will only be considered valid once the corresponding fee has been confirmed by UCP. Therefore, you must make the payment using the ATM references provided in the final application information.
See the Tuition Fees section for details regarding application, enrollment, and tuition fees, as well as other payment-related information.
The results will be published on a digital platform with restricted access to candidates, who will receive the credentials and access link by email, on a date close to their publication.
Enrollment information will be sent to admitted candidates after the publication of the results. For this process, the following documents will be required:
Passport-style photograph (*.JPG, *.PNG or *.GIF)
Copy of vaccination record proving tetanus vaccine (only the page with this entry)
Information requested by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (RAIDES questionnaire)
Enrollment form and other specific documents to be indicated upon admission
Proof of payment of the enrollment fee and the first monthly tuition (payment methods will be communicated with access to the enrollment platform)
It is assumed that the candidate withdraws if enrollment is not completed within the stipulated deadline.
The original academic qualification documents must be presented before the start of classes, on a date and time to be defined by the Academic Services.
