Re-entry is the process by which a student, after interrupting studies in a given institution/course of higher education, re-enrols at the same institution and registers in the same course or a succeeding one.

Students who interrupt attendance at a course at the Porto Regional Centre of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa may request re-registration/re-entry by submitting a request via e-SCA (accessible through the Campus Online). If approved, payment of a fee will be required to proceed with the process.

Submission periods for re-registration/re-entry requests:

  • Start of classes in the 1st semester: Until the last working day of June prior to the start of the academic year
  • Start of classes in the 2nd semester: Until the last working day of December prior to the start of the 2nd semester of the relevant academic year

If re-entry is solely for the purpose of completing a master's or doctoral thesis, deadlines may differ from those indicated, so prior information should be requested from the contacts listed below.

Generally, students are integrated into the study plan in force at the time of re-registration or re-entry, and will be informed of any changes to the study plan if applicable.

Payment of the re-entry fee established in the current Tuition, Fees and Charges Table for the year the request is made is required upon approval of the request.
