The following are eligible to apply:

  1. Holders of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a legally recognized equivalent, obtained from a Portuguese institution;
  2. Holders of a first-cycle degree in Nursing, obtained in a country participating in the Bologna Process, comprising 240 ECTS credits;
  3. Holders of a foreign higher education qualification or those with a scientific or professional curriculum vitae whose qualification/curriculum vitae is recognized, following a qualification recognition process by the Technical and Scientific Council of the School of Nursing (Porto), in accordance with Article 17 of Decree-Law No. 74/2006 of 24 March.

In addition to points 1) and 2), should the applicant opt for the specialization pathway, with a view to subsequently obtaining the professional title of specialist nurse from the Portuguese Nurses’ Association, in accordance with Article 12 of Ministerial Order No. 268/2002 of 13 March, they must have at least two years’ professional experience at the time of application and been registered with the Portuguese Nurses' Association for that time.

The opening of applications for the 2nd phase depends on the number of remaining places from the previous phase.

  • Photocopy of Identification Document

  • Curriculum Vitae (specific template)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Certificate (with curricular units, grades, ECTS credits, and final GPA and grading scale)

  • Valid professional license - active registration with the Portuguese Nurses' Association

NOTE: The original versions of the previously submitted documents must be presented before the beginning of classes, on a date and time to be set by the Academic Services.

Documents issued in other countries must be legalized by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority in the issuing country, or bear the Hague Apostille.

When written in a foreign language other than Spanish, English, or French, a respective translation must be submitted, in accordance with the provisions of notarial law.

Your application will only be valid after the respective fee payment has been confirmed by UCP, so you must make the payment using the ATM references provided in the final application information, and send the payment receipt to (candidaturas.porto@ucp.pt).

The results will be published on a digital platform with restricted access for applicants, who will receive login credentials and an access link by email, close to the publication date.

The following documents are required for enrollment:

  • Passport-style photograph (*.JPG, *.PNG or *.GIF)

  • Copy of the vaccination record to prove tetanus vaccination (only the page with this record)

  • Information requested by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (RAIDES survey)

  • Enrollment form and other specific documents to be indicated upon admission

  • Proof of payment of the enrollment fee and first monthly tuition fee (payment methods will be provided when access to the enrollment platform is communicated)

Failure to complete enrollment within the given deadline will be considered as withdrawal by the applicant.

The original versions of the previously submitted documents (qualification certificates and other documents) must be presented before the start of classes, on a date and time to be set by the Academic Services.
