The following may apply for the PhD in Law:
a) Holders of a master’s degree, or legal equivalent;
b) Holders of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade of 16 (out of 20) and, additionally, possessing an academic, scientific, or professional curriculum of notable quality which, according to the recognition of the Regional Scientific Council, demonstrates the capacity to meet the requirements of the doctoral programme.

When documents to be submitted have been issued in another country (outside Portugal), they must:
a) be legalized by a Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority, OR
b) contain the apostille issued by the competent authority of the issuing country, in the case that the country has adhered to the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (Hague Conference)When the documents to be submitted are written in a foreign language other than Spanish, English or French, a respective translation must be provided, carried out in accordance with the provisions of notarial law

Your application will only be valid once the payment of the respective fee has been confirmed by UCP, so you must make the payment according to the ATM references indicated in the final application information.

The procedure for checking results will be sent to each applicant's email on the date the results are published.
Only Admitted applicants will be able to proceed to the registration.
Admitted or conditionally admitted applicants will receive an email with information regarding the enrollment procedure and payment details. For enrollment, the following elements are required:
- Passport-size photograph (*.JPG, *.PNG or *.GIF)
- Copy of the vaccination record to confirm tetanus vaccination (only the page related to this record)
- Information required by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (RAIDES survey – template to be provided at enrollment)
- Enrollment form and other specific documents indicated at the time of admission
- Proof of payment of the enrollment fee and first monthly tuition installment (payment details will be provided in the email granting access to the enrollment platform)
It is assumed that the applicant withdraws if registration is not formalized within the stipulated deadline.
The originals of the certification documents must be presented before classes begin, on a date and time to be defined by the Academic Services.
