ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026
Holders of the following qualifications may apply for the Postgraduate Degrees (alternatively):
A bachelor’s degree or legal equivalent in the areas listed below;
A foreign higher academic degree in the areas listed below, recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor’s degree by the Scientific Council of the School of Biotechnology;
An academic, scientific, or professional curriculum recognized as demonstrating capacity to undertake the Postgraduate Degree by the Scientific Council of the School of Biotechnology.

The opening of applications for the next phase depends on the number of remaining vacancies from the previous phase.

Bachelor’s Degree Completion Certificate (detailed, indicating curricular units, grades obtained, ECTS credits, and final classification) – Only for graduates external to UCP;
Curriculum Vitae;
- Form for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) – if applicable.
Documents issued in other countries must be legalized by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authority in the issuing country, or bear the Hague Apostille.
When these are written in a foreign language other than Spanish, English, French, or Italian, the respective translation must be provided, carried out under the terms established by notarial law.

Your application will only be valid after payment of the respective fee has been confirmed by UCP, so you should make the payment according to the Multibanco references provided in the final application information.

The results will be published on a digital platform with restricted access for candidates, who will receive credentials and an access link by email near the date of publication. The results will be presented with one of the following designations:
“Admitted” – if the candidate is admitted without any conditions
“Conditionally Admitted” – admission depends on the completion of the bachelor’s degree and submission of the respective supporting documents by the stipulated date
“Deferred to Next Phase” – will be evaluated in the next phase on equal terms with new candidates applying at that time
“Not Admitted”
Only Admitted candidates will be able to complete enrollment.
Enrollment information will be sent to admitted candidates after the publication of results. For this process, the following documents will need to be gathered:
Passport-style photograph (*.JPG, *.PNG, or *.GIF)
Copy of the vaccination record to prove tetanus vaccination (only the page related to this record)
Information requested by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (RAIDES survey)
Enrollment form and other specific documents to be indicated at the time of admission
Proof of payment of the enrollment fee and first installment (payment method details will be provided in the communication regarding access to the enrollment platform)
It is assumed that the candidate withdraws if enrollment is not completed within the stipulated deadline.
